Practice teaching is an experience that allows us to put everything in action the knowledge that we learned in our school for four years. This is a challenging part as an education student to become a student teacher. The first step for us to exposed the real scenario o teaching.

          As we wait the date of deployment for our practice teaching I have my doubts. I think I can’t make it. And I am not ready to teach and manage children inside the classroom. Especially when I read the announcement that I will be assigned in School of the Future. I heard that the pupils in that school are intelligent. I feel nervous because what if my learner are English speaking, I am not fluent speaking in English.

         During my 1st shift in practice teaching in Mrs. Elena D. Alcantara was my very supportive, smart and energetic cooperating teacher. My first week in practice teaching is observing the classroom routines. And through my observation I admire Teacher Elen on managing 47 pupils and teaching them despite of her age and I think she deserves to an award as an outstanding teacher every year. My first demo teaching wasn’t good, I am not satisfied. There’s a lot of factor affecting my demo teaching, first I am nervous what if my pupils did not listen and also Teacher Elen forgot to give the curriculum guide for teaching. But it was charge in experience. Teacher Elen give me strategies in teaching, how to manage pupils and adjust the environment. She always gives an advice in how to enjoy teaching, about life and love life. My 2nd shift in practice teaching was in Grade VI with our humble and smart cooperating teacher Mrs. Chatyline M. Deyto. At first I am terrified to teach to shift Grade VI because there are pupils are bigger than me. But I heard that even Grade VI pupils are noisy they easy to manage maybe because they are in their adolescent period. I taught Filipino subject I saw their expression how that subject boring for them. But they actively participated. My final demo teaching was successfully done. With the helped of our supportive cooperating teachers, smart principal and active pupils.

          Being a teacher it doesn’t mean you are only teaching a lesson. You need touch in their hearts and minds. I this experience I learned and gained a lot of knowledge that may help me in my chosen career. Being a student teacher I become an artist, carpenter, gardener, a first-aid rescuer, a dancer, singer and a teacher. My sleepless night and exhausted days are well paid-off every time I saw their smile while enjoying the lessons, tight hugs every time we saw each other and also receiving a thank you letter from them. Time fly so fast. I need to leave the school, it breaks my heart looking them crying and begging not to leave. I also want to express my deepest gratitude to School of the Future, my cooperating teachers, principal, teachers and pupils for an awesome experience. To my family thank very much for supporting me and to our almighty God for giving me strength and courage.
